Job Description

East Jordan Plastics is seeking a hands-on, safety-focused Warehouse Manager to lead daily warehouse operations and support our manufacturing and recycling teams. This position is responsible for receiving and shipping materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, supervising warehouse staff, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and job opening warehouse personnel to achieve daily operational goals.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean warehouse environment.
  • Receive, organize, and document incoming raw material shipments.
  • Load outbound raw materials and finished goods safely and accurately.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory control efforts.
  • Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure shipping and receiving records are complete and accurate.
  • Support production operations through efficient movement of materials.
  • Coach, develop, and discipline employees as needed, following company policies.
  • Identify training and advancement opportunities for team members.
  • Manage employee timekeeping and time-off approvals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of forklift (HI-LO) and warehouse experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, including email, Excel, and ERP systems.
  • Experience with handheld scanners is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to bend, twist, climb, stand, sit, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and scissor lifts.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
